no problem.

UH. I'm a little late in making a "hey everybody! Europe was smashing" post, but... geez, it was too big of a trip to squish down into an interesting entry that people will actually read. So, instead:

the HIGHLIGHTS, the LESSONS.

1. Italy takes away your self-preservation instinct. To get anywhere, you must learn that to cross traffic, you just have to walk right on out, regardless of any sort of lights. You'd be the only one paying attention to them, anyway.

2. Europeans have some deep, psychological issues with their bladders. I do not understand this. Public toilets should be your friends, man.

3. The French Unions really are fickle. And everything else you've heard about them.

4. The subway is the most interesting place, ever. I believe we should install one in our tiny town of 1,330, just because they are so awesome. Helpful, fluently English-speaking zombies and crazy men who throw umbrellas onto tracks are found here.

5. Capri's travel guides are hilarious. As are the Vatican's. Our main British guide was a sad, brilliant man who was struggling through college with an English Literature major and random cough attacks that made me wonder if he hadn't actually worked in a coal mine for a good part of his crazy-haired life. He could do Cockney rhyming, sing A-Z Beatles songs, and say "aluminium."

6. WHERE THE HELL ARE THE ANTI-SMOKING CAMPAIGNS. or at least the don't-blow-smoke-into-everyone's-faces campaigns. and the shave-your-backs campaigns.

7. While French junkmen are fun and friendly, Italian junkmen are obnoxious, persistent and vaguely creepy. This is called "irony."

8. Why don't we have 2-dollar coins. )8 Or flat prices. Or gelato.

9. Along with their bladders, Europeans have something against electrical sockets. In one famous hotel room, we found one (belly-level) by the door, one behind the window's curtain, and one on the ceiling.

10. Cannibalistic seagulls.

Yeah.

And. And.

As awesome and non-monotone-like-Wisconsin as it was, though, I'm glad to be back. ;w; Aaa. ♥

... And, obviously, nothing says "I'm back" like a good old meme.

A. "Has my portrayal of a character(s) changed the way you think of him/her?"

B. Pick one of my characters and I'll answer the following questions about him or her:

1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for?
2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why?
3. What do they dream about?
4. What’s their biggest fear?
5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why?
6. What is their fondest memory?
7. What is their worst memory?
8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound.
9. What do they believe makes a successful life?
10. What makes them laugh?
11. What are their religious views?
12. What is their greatest strength?
13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it?
14. Who is the most important person in their life?
15. If they died, who would miss them most? How would they die?

[identity profile] grotesques.livejournal.com 2010-04-21 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
i totes forgot to tell you. :c there's a guy from Milwaukee in my art classes.

[identity profile] rawri.livejournal.com 2010-04-21 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
asjkgn are you serious. Have you spoken with him. D: What is he doing down there.

[identity profile] grotesques.livejournal.com 2010-04-21 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
yes we have. his name is Montrel. he went to the academy of art and now he's down here. for some reason. he's ghetto. and black.

[identity profile] rawri.livejournal.com 2010-04-21 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
yeah. that's. pretty much Milwaukee, right there.

Is he like the Milwaukee guy who got kicked into Slinger. )8 Does he wear an earflap hat and three layers?

[identity profile] grotesques.livejournal.com 2010-04-21 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
how do you get kicked into Slinger. \:

and nah, at first he dressed like a white boy, and then he came to school dressed like a gangsta. even ditched his glasses. but he's only been here for a few days.

KAZU also Kiric also I backstalked your Vash and Cid.

Kiric. Unless waifu's hijacked me, then Kazu 8| cw!flavor.

APH also.

[identity profile] rawri.livejournal.com 2010-04-21 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
FFFFFFF YOU

k hold on this will be a while-- is this an order for a CW!Kiric&Kazu + Cid&Vash of the B variety...?

[identity profile] terrible.livejournal.com 2010-04-21 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
I MEANT THAT YOU CHANGED MY PERCEPTIONS OF THAT FIRST GROUP. I wanted the other of the second group.

[identity profile] rawri.livejournal.com 2010-04-21 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
DERP DERP. ksjagnkh okay. X3;;; Awww, thanks. <3 But yes!

KAZU. Clockwork.
1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for?
Kill for no one except self-defense - as much as he'd try, he'd never have the stomach for it. He'd die for the Agkitos, though. Not Ikki.

2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why?
Kill another, for the cliche bit. Burn his hat, for something more original.

3. What do they dream about?
Returning home, where Ikki was... present.

4. What’s their biggest fear?
Dying via X again, or someone else dying via X.

5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why?
Hat! For obvious reasons. Headcanon dictates that it was given by Ikki, and it's an old relic, and... well. Yes.

6. What is their fondest memory?
Fffeh. In CW, it was traipsing the place with Tim.

7. What is their worst memory?
Getting boxed by X.

8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound.
UH. I THINK YOU KNOW THIS ONE. but in-game, it was... Byakuran, surprisingly. The guy taught him a lot (sticking up for yourself, not always being nice, flowers) that his other friends wouldn't have broached on.

Or maybe it was Yoshistune. I can't really remember. )8;;

9. What do they believe makes a successful life?
Always advancing, never stagnating, not dying, not stopping.

10. What makes them laugh?
Fur in the nose and others' antics over relationships, booze and games.

11. What are their religious views?
Christian (with blond hair and blue eyes, no way is he pure Shinto Japanese), but not devout or caring too much.

12. What is their greatest strength?
Loyalty.

13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it?
Self-esteem. As shown by Gabishi, if put under pressure, he'll take it all on himself and then... decide he's not worth it, or capable.

14. Who is the most important person in their life?
At the last moment, Agkito.

15. If they died, who would miss them most? How would they die?
Miss him most? THAT'S A QUESTION TO ASK YOURSELF. But he would die protecting someone else-- probably while making someone give chase.

KIRIC. Clockwork.
1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for?
In CW, he'd kill and die for no one. What a loser.

2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why?
Kill Rika; die himself. He also refuses to give in to Simca.

3. What do they dream about?
Returning to the Tower; killing Sora; old Sleeping Forest memories.

4. What’s their biggest fear?
Dying before returning home or finishing his little revenge plot.

5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why?
His book. It's a relic, man. And he's grown fond.

6. What is their fondest memory?
He'll say it's seeing the sky for the first time. It's really when the old Sleeping Forest was chilling together, before everything (but that's kind of tarnished).

7. What is their worst memory?
Uh. Yeah. ): Hi, Sora. In relation to CW - Rika arriving.

8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound.
In-game, it was Simca. She opened him up and made him actually sit in the vacancy of another normal human being for a good time.

9. What do they believe makes a successful life?
Will say defending the Regalia from enemies, but an ideal life would be relaxing in some suburban paradise somewhere in Hokkaido.

10. What makes them laugh?
Nothing. Shuro's magic happy music number. Yeah.

11. What are their religious views?
Very, very, very devout Christian. Probably Catholic.

12. What is their greatest strength?
Persistence.

13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it?
Grudge-holding.

14. Who is the most important person in their life?
Overall: Sora. Ingame: Simca.

15. If they died, who would miss them most? How would they die?
I think his twin'd miss him most. ): But he'd probably die by Nike, during a bad run-in.

APH.
this is gonna be a long one.

• "It's like a car crash" Ship: China/Russia, Prussia/Poland, the Axis in themselves.

• "Tickles my fancy but not sold just yet" Ship: China/Japan, Poland/Lithuania. More platonic than not.

*goes straight for the memes!*

A | You will always be my first Zack. And I always assume I will love him when he appears in an RP. But you didn't so much change the way I think of him as you shaped the way I think of him since I'm unfamiliar with canon.

B | asdlkfsdlfsdf you play Suzaku and Allen now!? *cough* I mean... Yeah, Suzaku. I was going to choose Zack, but...

C | Code Geass!

[identity profile] rawri.livejournal.com 2010-04-21 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
-good woman-

A. Aww. Though, yeah, I know what you mean with the shaping. )x Happens so much.

B. xDDD You could ask more than one. Buuut.

SUZAKU. canon. episode 18.

1. What would your character kill for? What would they die for?
Kill wholeheartedly for Euphie; die for anyone. Ahaha. ):

2. What would they refuse to do under any circumstances? Why?
He’d like to refuse to destroy Ashford no matter what. And to never kill Euphie, Lelouch or Nunnally. But, well. Yeah.

3. What do they dream about?
Ticktockticktock broken pocket watch. Area 11; Euphie. You’d think the man obsessed.

4. What’s their biggest fear?
Never being able to atone.

5. What single object would they be most hard pressed to part with? Why?
Father’s pocket watch, the Knight badge from Euphie. For obvious reasons. Lancelot, for less obvious reasons.

6. What is their fondest memory?
Anything before Genbu’s trip to the afterlife.

7. What is their worst memory?
Obviously. Killing his own father. Slightly replaced by Euphie killing a hundred Elevens, then dying; and finding out that Lelouch was Zero, having to take him to Charles.

8. What or who was were their most significant influence? Expound.
Euphie. Do I really need to expound. Also, Genbu in a negative way.

9. What do they believe makes a successful life?
Dying with honor, without regrets. He doesn’t lead a very successful life.

10. What makes them laugh?
Cats that bite and lethal irony.

11. What are their religious views?
Was a practicing Buddhist and Shintoist. Now, can’t think much on it.

12. What is their greatest strength?
Aside from his battle skills, he makes for a very steady presence. Essentially, loyalty.

13. Do they have a fatal flaw? If so, what is it?
Aside from the death wish, he’ll sometimes be too loyal to what he believes in. Can actually be rather close-minded and in need of a good slap-around over certain topics (see: Japan, Euphie, himself).

14. Who is the most important person in their life?
Tie between Lelouch, Genbu and Euphie.

15. If they died, who would miss them most? How would they die?
Currently, Lelouch would probably miss him most. He would have to die via a slow disease in old age, because fate is forever cruel like that.

C for CODE GEASS.
I have more ot3s than otps.

One True Pairing Ship: Lloyd/Suzaku. Because I can’t decide anything else.
Canon Ship: Kallen/ Lelouch.
"If this happens I'll stab my eyes out with a spork" Ship: Kallen/ Suzaku.
"You are one sick puppy" Ship: Schneizel/ Zero/ Suzaku. Alternatively, V.V./Charles, Mao/ Zero.
"I dabble a little" Ship: Tianzi/ Xingke. Milly/anyone.
"It's like a car crash" Ship: Euphie/ Zero.
"Tickles my fancy but not sold just yet" Ship: Rolo/ Lelouch (/Shirley).
"Makes no canon sense but why the heck not" Ship: C.C./ Suzaku.
"Everyone else loves it but I just don't feel it" Ship: Euphie/ Suzaku. Unless you throw in Zero. )x

Lloyd/Suzaku, hmm? (Arthur/Suzaku OTP!) *snuggles Suzaku*

*snuggles you too!*

and ignore the account.

I'd put in Lelouch/Suzaku, but that's practically canon, too. =w= /yes. is one of those people.

My advice worth anything?

Liked it in general? x3

[identity profile] rawri.livejournal.com 2010-04-22 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Your advice is fact. ): Paris sucked. If... it was you who said you didn't like Paris?

LIKED IT SO MUCH. the first few days were baaah but it evened out just fine. How's your studying going? Getting sleep?

[identity profile] knockout-drops.livejournal.com 2010-04-22 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
... XDDDD I said I didn't like Paris' food. XD I prefer Paris to Rome but, then again, I had a bad experience in Rome, so I didn't enjoy the trip as much as I could have, had the company been good. Liked the Colliseum (sp?)?

How much different from America is it? And studying is going okay. ^^ Sleeping fine, too. x333

[identity profile] rawri.livejournal.com 2010-04-22 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
OH YES. very much agreement on the food. I pretty much starved until Italy. 8D;;; Then ate too much. But all our pizzas were good! The Coliseum was ehh. Liked Rome itself more.

Very. Very. Very different. xD;; Er. Well. Our cities are more like Paris (minus the awesome buildings), but the atmosphere is flipped. And are you telling the truth--- how're you feeling?
